2009 Presidential Goals

The President’s Message, 2010 Increase Membership: Support IREM National’s goal to increase local membership by 4%. Increase Diversity in IREM through increasing Membership in diversity by 3%... Promote the ACM (Accredited Commercial Manager) designation to include property management professionals with small portfolios. Promote the ARM (Accredited Residential Manager) designation through direct solicitation of Apartment Communities. Continue to promote college outreach programs by providing information to professors within local colleges about the benefits of IREM. Complete a minimum of 5 ODIE visits to Owners, Developers, Investors, Employers and Students through trade shows and lunch programs Promote IREM through trade shows at the Columbus Board of Realtors and BOMA Promote Credential Awareness through increase marketing Advance Education Continue to assist Candidates by offering courses required to achieve their IREM designation. Offer continue education hours that provide quality related information to assist members in their daily responsibilities using FRIENDS of IREM Coordinate with other Real Estate Professional Organizations to promote IREM education courses as well as course those organizations offer. Columbus Board of Realtors and Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment Realtors Encourage Member Participation and Networking Promote be a Star and increase members understanding of Star Awards program and benefits to Chapter. Promote member/candidate participation on committee. Increase member use of local chapter website Plan to have at least one Friends and one Candidates function/recognition networking event during 2010 Continue to develop and support IREM Young Professionals IYP committee to attract and retain younger members. Develop increase participation through organized Committee’s and in conjunction with meeting Star Notebook Planner and standard committee form Plan, organize and conduct a Board Retreat for purposes of evaluating the Chapter progress for current year, review Star Notebook, Strategic Plan and Education classes. Plan at least one new member breakfast program. Support IREM National Participate in National Conferences including Education Conference, Leadership and Legislative Summit and Regional Conference. Highlight the value of IREM National’s website, including IREM First, Get Real Get Ready, Tech Helpline and IREMjobs.org. Support and encourage member’s participation in national legislative action impacting the property management field.
